Build and finance with your users: Software startups and platforms would build out in the open, sharing updates publicly and giving users access to your non-functional product. Make things that users enjoy, ask them to participate in experiments, and reward their engagement with credits. Take that to the next level by kickstarting your startup, allowing the public to invest in your company like kickstarter or VC funding when they contribute to success in building your app. Spend less time building things that don’t work for your users, and allow more diverse sources of funding.

The API Market

Key management: If you’re going to use multiple APIs, who manages the keys securely? You, by yourself? An API provider, who wants to lock you in to their own ecosystem? No, you need a key management service, and it should be easy to provide.

Human-in-the-loop Authentication: APIs that can prove a human is present can provide more API surface for free. Why? The reduction of bot activity that could be high in volume, or spammy and malicious. If that human factor could be verified once and used for many APIs, that could prevent this from being a problem in automated systems. Even better, there could be controls for organizations to maintain authorization without downtime through human activity for free, and then automatically for a price.

API System building platform: Don’t write code, build systems. Build systems visually in a web browser as an entrepreneur. Your business isn’t the sum of its moving parts, it’s the clarity overall clarity of its system.s

The AI Market

First mover on simulated environments: A startup that writes code for simulated environments, where the product of the environments is used to create AI datasets. Grows to become major share of AI dataset generation and provides a platform for exploring simulated systems.

  • Similar: Scale is an AI data platform where they label real data.
  • Difference: This company would be digital and simulated, providing orders of magnitude more data with higher robustness, flexibility, and accuracy as it is free from human labelling error. Not only that, but simulated environments could be explored, where data provided to scale is captured from real data.

If a language requires a "compile" or "refresh" to show the results of a change, it even denies us interactive control. Some languages are marketed as "sketchbooks", but a real sketching environment would, at the very least, offer basic interactive adjustment
